My passion for art led to my Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Towson University and my Master of Arts in Art Education from The Maryland Institute College of Art. I was certified to teach art K-12 and taught for seven years. I became a stay-at-home mom and later began my current newborn and family photography business. Rebecca Leigh Studio is another dream in the making to continue to teach art lessons online and produce fonts and illustrations of my own to share with others.
Actually, most people call me Becky. I had a clear vision of my life as an artist from the time I was young. My first art studio was my self-proclaimed corner in our unfinished basement when I was in elementary school. Although I now have a more sophisticated art studio space in my home, nothing has changed when it comes to the number of art projects circulating around the room...except that there's probably more!

Designed for aspiring artists of all ages, creatives, and art enthusiasts, the purpose of Rebecca Leigh Studio is to encourage others to thrive in their artistic endeavors. Starting with my fonts and illustrations for purchase, creatives can use these in various projects, or just to make everyday typing a little more fun. With my background and experience in Art Education, I hope to help aspiring artists gain further knowledge and skills to accomplish many types of drawing, painting, and illustrative projects.
I watch my five year old draw all day long, and I think back to how I was as a child, and still am. I need to make art and he is the same way. Can you or your child relate?
